Hotels in Croatia are recognized one of the best in Europe

Organization of World Travel Awards gave a prestigious award to the hotels in Croatia, which were recognized the best in Europe.

There were 12 candidates in eight categories from Croatia.

Tourist “Oscar” was given to hotels Dubrovnik Palace and Le Meridien Lav in Split.

Romania and Croatia intend to develop bilateral relations

At a meeting of the delegates from Romania and Croatia, it was decided to open a new air route Bucharest – Zagreb, which, according to the representatives of both countries, will strengthen bilateral ties.

According to «Romanian Times», the foreign ministers of Croatia and Romania Teodor Baconschi and Gordan Jandrokovic met in Zagreb to discuss issues of bilateral relations.

Russia paid off the Soviet debt to Croatia

Above-mentioned debt in the amount of 185.7 million U.S. dollars has arisen in the trade and economic cooperation between the USSR and Yugoslavia, and it has been recognized by Russia and settled by agreement between the Russian and Croatian governments on the settlement of obligations of the former USSR, according to calculations related to trade between the former Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, on July 24, 2006, said in the message on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

House prices stopped falling in Croatia

In January 2011, the cost of Croatian real property was increased slightly.

By the end of 2010, the average price of real estate in the country, announced in advertisements, was declined by 11% compared with pre-crisis 2008.

However, in January 2011, the stabilization in housing prices (+0.4% compared with December 2010) was recorded.

From 1 April this year, Croatia facilitates crossing its borders for tourists from Russia. And it’s not April Fools joke.

During seven months, for entry into this country it will be enough to present a passport with the validity of not less than six months.

Previously, to enter Croatia a travel voucher was required at the border.

Maximum stay in Croatia without a visa is 90 days.

In the new season, three new hotels will be open in Croatia

In the new season, the hotel sector of Croatian coast will be enlarged by 700 rooms.

Three hotels will be open in the summer and autumn: in Rovinj, Zadar and Dubrovnik.

Four-star hotel Lafodia in Dubrovnik will be the first to receive its guests.

Italian company Anker Group spent 40 million Euros for the reconstruction of hotel.

Croatian police car rammed the plane

Croatian policeman, who was intoxicated, was responsible for an unusual accident at the airport city of Zadar, Croatian national television HRT reported.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night. Car offender ran off the road near the small local airport, rammed a metal fence and left to aircraft park. Drunken policeman crashed into a light airplanes Cessna, the aircraft hit a helicopter which stood beside, RIA Novosti reported.

Fifth human death from influenza A(H1N1) was registered in Croatia.

Fifth human death from influenza A(H1N1) was registered in Croatia, the Serbian television stations B92 transmits, with reference to the local health services. According to the doctors, a 53-year-old man died, a resident of Zagreb. According to them, in addition to pneumonia, he also suffered “swine flu”.
